Make sure the math for the call is correct but take it slowly. Look for hands with play-ability to start with. A guy who just doubles your bet you can call wider but someone who 5x you raise you should fold way more tightly. Honest or bluffs a lot, passive or aggressive. Then comes the question is what type of player is he post flop. Some Maniac and very tight with there 3 bet range and I have seen a NIT with a higher 3 bet range than you would think. Is he a Nit or a maniac or somewhere between. Then there is the player you are against. OOP is a disadvantage where calling IP is better for you.
The answer is ' It depends'ġst of all calling a 3bet OOP is not a great move. That is part of the problem and dun of poker. The problem is there is not a simple answer.
